Forest fires are an unfortunate aspect of residing in New Mexico and Colorado. Per wildfirerisk.org, 78% of homes in New Mexico are at greater risk of wildfire than homes in surrounding states.  By clearing flammable ground vegetation and low hanging limbs (ladder fuel), NewTex can create a visually appealing coexistence between reducing fire hazards and maintaining the aesthetics of your property.

Forest thinning and canopy reduction strategically removes a select number of trees to create healthier and more resilient forest ecosystem. This practice enhances forest health by reducing competition for resources, mitigating fire risks, and promoting the growth of remaining trees.

NewTex began as an urban tree removal company.  Although we have expanded into forest thinning and fire mitigation, NewTex continues to remove large, dangerous trees in an urban setting.  If you have a large tree near your house or cabin that needs removal, we have the equipment and experience to remove it in a safe manner that minimized the impact to your remaining property.   

If a prior forest contractor thinned your trees and left you with ugly stumps and piles of slash, or if you chose to do it yourself and now need help finishing the job because you lack the equipment, we can help.  Our crews can chip or grind slash and grind the stumps to below grade leaving you a clean, beautiful property.
